...there'd be no green bottles hanging on the wall

Apparently there's a bottle shortage in the wine industry. Decanter has the low-down. The best pays d'Oc Merlot I've tasted arrived to us as a sample: Prêt-à-Boire, a plastic bag with a screw-top, and because I thought it would be rubbish, and left it on the shelf for a year or so before tasting it, Bubble Brothers missed the chance to become its importer into Ireland. But the man who is bringing it in has kept in touch, though it sounds as though he's doing well enough without our help. I gather that Prêt-à-Boire will be on the menu at the Electric Picnic. I haven't tried the Chardonnay, but the Merlot has the bottoms up from me.
