Dine & Wine Club Cork: Cooking Class

Dine & Wine Club Cork: Cooking Class New food and wine club blog in Cork!

There I was not so long ago wondering why there weren't more social eaters and drinkers with blogs and now here's one right in Cork. It seems the girls have excellent taste in wine.

Hi Julian, thanks for your comment on our blog...the first one by the way ;-) Austin at the English Market is an endless source of advise on wine and most of my 'discoveries' are down to him. I normally give him the menu and he matches the wine perfectly. Our next wine tasting will be end of March. Let me knwo if you can recommend some wines for us...

I wouldn't dream of trying on Austin's wine recommending shoes: he is the man. Right now, though, I think you should ask him to get in our newly-arrived Quincy, a Sauvignon from near Sancerre. When we get back from Vinisud next week there'll be plenty that's new... If you liked the Chinon, meanwhile, you should try the Ad Libitum from La Grange Tiphaine, muscular and velvety.

Hello. I just moved to Cork from Edinburgh, Scotland and am very interested in your idea of a Dine and Wine club. I came across your website after googling dining clubs Cork. I love cooking and baking and will be attending a culinary school in New York next spring. I would love to meet up with people with similar interests. If this is possible please let me know!
    Thanks!

Hello Leianna, thank you for joining in and welcome to Cork. I'd say meeting up is very possible... There's quite a good overlap between food and blogging &c. in this part of the world, so have a trawl through my sidebar links, head over to the Cork Dine and Wine Club site if you haven't already, and of course we'll always be delighted to sell you a bottle of wine and have a chat, either in the English Market shop or here at the Marina.

Hi Leianna, welcome to Cork. You came to the right place. If you are on the lookout for good wine, Julian and Austin from Bubble Brothers are the best source in town. Anyway, if you are interested in joining us, email me on eomahony@farran.com . Our next wine tasting will be in May. Hope to talk soon

Hi Trish, we have a wine and dine club here in Cork (mostly we meet at mine near Blarney) and we meet about once a month either for a nice dinner or a wine tasting. Check out our blog http://thedineandwineclub.blogspot.com

Hi, me and my friend are interested in this group. Is it still running and if so, when and where?

      Hi Niamh,

Thanks for the query. Bubble Brothers are hosting dinners when we can arrange a producer to discuss their wines. If you are interested, please telephone Les Gourmandises and see if there are places left for our next event on 18th May!
